I was initially going to create a top 10 list of tools I use when working with websites… then soon realised there are so many that I use! These tools help me save time, be organised, and improve websites.
There are free and paid tools on the list (I’ve highlighted the ones I use for the free version). I used to bulk at paying for tools, but once you realise how they can help, it’s well worth it.
This list is a trial of many other tools over five years. Sometimes you can’t quite find “the one”. And new shiny tools always pop up that sometimes fit your needs more.

I mainly use WordPress for most of my clients unless they have a preference for another content management system (like Squarespace, Webflow, etc). It’s easy to customise and tailor to their business needs and can grow with them.
To make it easy for my clients to maintain and update their websites, I use a page builder plugin called Elementor Pro. Highly recommend it!

I hope you find this helpful list and that it saves you some time. Remember not to be afraid to pay for something when it saves time. I’ve spent hours/days before looking for a “free” tool (some are perfect), but sometimes it’s well worth the ££.
TIP: Keep track of all your tools, especially automatic renewals. Give yourself time to review what you currently use and if you still need it.
